Ingeborg is this Madeira thread the one you were trying to identify? It has a woven or knitted appearance and is about 1/8 inch wide.

This isn't the thread. this is thicker, but I must say.....this is something I have easier access to here in the Netherlands, so I might use this as an instant for the other one. By the way.....I found out that the other thread is from Kreinik! It's the 1/8 or 1/16" ribbon of them. I never thought of using Madeira Carat! Thanks so much for giving me the hint!!
